Author Guidelines

Submission Process

Authors may submit their manuscripts to IJFIST using one of the following methods:

  • Email Submission: Send the manuscript in MS Word format to ijfist@iadier-academy.org

All submissions must be original and not under consideration elsewhere.

Language of Submission

IJFIST accepts manuscripts written in English. Authors are responsible for ensuring clarity, coherence, and academic quality of the language used.

Manuscript Length and Formatting

The journal does not impose strict limits on word count, page length, or the number of tables and figures. Authors are encouraged to present their research clearly and concisely.

  • Manuscripts must be prepared using the IJFIST paper template
  • File format: Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx) only

Types of Contributions

IJFIST publishes the following categories of manuscripts:

  1. Full-length research articles
  2. Review articles
  3. Book reviews
  4. Discussion notes
  5. Articles in translation

Structure of the Manuscript

While variations are permitted depending on article type, a standard research paper should generally include the following sections:

  1. Title
  2. Author names, affiliations, and email addresses
  3. Abstract
  4. Keywords
  5. Introduction
  6. Literature Review
  7. Methodology
  8. Results / Findings
  9. Conclusion
  10. Statements and Declarations
  11. References

Title

The title should be clear, precise, and informative, accurately reflecting the scope of the study.

  • Maximum length: 12 words
  • Avoid abbreviations, symbols, and formulas where possible

Author Details

Provide the following information for each author:

  • Full name
  • Institutional affiliation (department, institution, city, country)
  • Email address of the corresponding author
  • ORCID iD (if available)

For unaffiliated authors, only city and country will be listed unless otherwise requested.

Abstract and Keywords

Abstract

  • Maximum length: 350 words
  • Should summarize the purpose, methodology, key findings, and conclusions
  • Avoid undefined abbreviations and references

Keywords

  • Provide 4–6 keywords suitable for indexing and search visibility

Introduction

The introduction should outline the research background, objectives, and significance, referencing recent and relevant literature. It should be accessible to readers who may not be specialists in the field.

Literature Review

This section should critically review relevant scholarly work, including journal articles, books, and other authoritative sources, highlighting gaps addressed by the current study.

Methodology

Describe the research design, procedures, tools, and analytical methods in sufficient detail to ensure reproducibility. Subsections may be used where appropriate.

Results / Findings

Present results in a logical and coherent manner, emphasizing novel and significant findings. Authors should relate results to existing literature and clearly address the study objectives.

Conclusion

The conclusion should summarize the main outcomes of the research, emphasizing their academic, practical, or technological significance.

Statements and Declarations

Authors must include the following statements where applicable:

  • Funding:
    “This research received no external funding”
    or
    “This research was funded by [Funder Name], Grant No. XXX.”
  • Conflicts of Interest:
    “The authors declare no conflict of interest.”
  • Acknowledgments:
    Acknowledge individuals, institutions, or funding bodies using full official names.

References and Citations

  • References must be relevant, current, and accurate
  • Follow APA Style (7th Edition)
  • Ensure all in-text citations appear in the reference list and vice versa
  • Include DOIs as full links wherever available

In-text Citation Examples

  • (Robinson, 2003)
  • (Abbott, 1991; Barakat et al., 1995; Kelso & Smith, 1998)

Reference List

  • Alphabetized by first author’s surname
  • Journal titles and book titles in italics
  • Include up to 20 authors (APA 7 rule)

Permissions and Licensing

Authors are responsible for obtaining written permission for all third-party content. Any licensed tools, software, questionnaires, or datasets used must clearly state licensing conditions and permissions in the manuscript.

Research involving human participants must comply with the Declaration of Helsinki and receive approval from a recognized ethics committee. Authors must include ethics approval details and confirm informed consent where applicable. Participant identities must be anonymized.

Authorship Changes

Requests for addition or removal of authors after submission will follow COPE guidelines. A signed letter from all authors explaining the change must be submitted as a supplementary file for editorial review.

Upon acceptance, authors are required to sign a Copyright Transfer Agreement before publication. The form will be provided with the acceptance notification.

English Language Editing

Authors must ensure that manuscripts are written in clear and professional language. Optional support includes grammar tools, peer review by colleagues, or professional editing services. Language editing does not guarantee acceptance.
